unemployment in youth can lead to mental health issues and reduce a person’s life-long earning/career potential.
It creates further inequalities, particularly between communities and towns that need more economic stability

What causes unemployment
So what actually cause unemployment.
Well starting off
Alot of young people lack the skills neccesary for perticular jobs
and this also relates to the gap between education and employment
Theres also a lack of viable options for young people, and it can be hard to get your foot through that door sometimes, espcially when you have just began your career
Another issue is the lack of engaging information about careers which can be scary and confusing for young people. From my own personal experience, as soon as you turn 15-16 teachers, parents or garidans start talking to you about your future and if you know what it is that you want to do. However, theres rarely any help guiding you into the proper direction, which has left alot of young people feeling lost in recent years.
CV and portfolio building is also a required skills that can benefit you hugely when you master it
and finally, young people lack alot of experience working in perticualr roles which need experience. This relates to the formidable, Entry level job that needs 4 years of experience. Getting that experience is the hardest part that can make the biggest changes in job searching.

So what do we plan to fix?
Simply put, All of it
We want to
- Teach skills needed for work
- Close the gap between education & employment
- Provide viable options for young people
- Engage young people with useful career information
- Help them with CV & portfolio building
- Teach interview skills. Training young people for the future
Market
The uk gvernment does has a document titled "helping young people into work" on their website and it is filled with useful links and information that could help young people make the intial steps into the job market.
This document is over ten years old however
I would say it a little outdated
It doesnt actualy seem like the government is doing anything or has done anything to further help young people in the UK grown and build a career and skills for their future.
and this has resulted in the fluxuating unemployment rates that we have in the UK.
From covid - to brexit -to the cost of living crisis/ its getting icreasing harder for young people to leave the nest essentially and build their own future.
Resulting in a growth of 105,000 more young neets in 2025 compared to the previouse year
and an overall of 643,000 young people being unemployed in 2025

and as you can see, their is an increasing rise in unemployment rates, more than we had during covid.
Cost
Hiring our own proffesional advisors would cost around 20 pounds an hour. Now this data was collected from my own sources, being my mum, who works as a careers advisor for people struggling with drug addictions and mental health problems.

Presentations and videos can be produced in house very cheaply
Presentations can be created by our team in collaboration with the leading career proffesionals that we hire for these videos
We will need to outsorce our editing however, now accoding to 'backstage' the average hourly wage is around 52$ and the average daily wage is around 600$ to 3000$.
Considering the little amount of editing that would need to be produced for a single one of our videos, an hourly wage may make more sense. as it should only take around 4-5 hours to complete a single video.
And finnaly since we are using wix it will be free to produce our website
Freemium
We will be using a freemium model for our service, and with that, basic features like free consultations and video and light CV building features will be offered for free. But more advanced services like our exclusive mentorship oppertunities, Job application tracking and more advanced portfolio and CV builders will be held being a pay wall.
and freemium models are shown to increase brand exposure and growth and seem more entising for new users, which will make them more incllined to buy our premium service.
More potential ways of earining reveniew include
Job listing, in which jobs pay us to list their openings (similar to indeed)
CV review systems that utilise AI, grading users CV's and listing ways they can improve their product
Corporate/ government sponsorships (that try to get more people into jobs)
Online courses and workshops outside of our website / this could be in schools or job programs
which leads to the last potetial reveniew which is college and uni programs that help lead newly graduated students into the work place

and making it more accesible for young people to get a job and for employers to find applicants with experience

For our AI powered services such as our CV reviewer and job recommender system we will need Chat GPT plus whch is 20 pounds a month
and we will need a network of consultants and employers that we can use to teach our users

And employers as they will be more enclined to hire people who have experience

We are also going to market through school and universities, this can be through in person lectures about our product or via email
and also through targeted ads that users will see on websites, and social media

So to close out this pitch we know that applying to jobs can be daunting and confusing for young people
and most people who have recently graduated or are just starting their career journy arent too sure of what they want to fo
and we want to provide a service that helps eductae and train young people into being ready for their career/ while guiding them in the direction that they see interested in
Hoping to increase the amount of young people working and shift the cultural opinion of the youth that begining your career is a scary thing
